Terminix Service Company, Inc., doing business as Terminix Pest Control since 1947, is a locally owned franchise of Terminix International. The latter was founded in 1927, operates in 567 service centers in 44 states with locations in 11 countries. Terminix was the first company to be rewarded a U.S. patent for a termiticide.

Today, a part of the Service Master network of business services, Terminix is one of several nationally recognized Service Master Businesses including TruGreen-Chemlawn, Merry Maids, American Home Shield and Service Master Residential and Commerical Services.
